Spectrum Auto Body Announces a New Building Expansion

September 28, 2022 - Belle Plaine, MN

Due to a need to expand, Spectrum Auto Body is constructing a second, 2,400 sq. foot building. This building will be visible from East Main Street in Belle Plaine, MN, and take up the back portion of their current property.

"One of our core values at Spectrum Auto Body is to provide a clean and organized workplace for our technicians. This expansion will help us to work more efficiently, provide a better customer service experience, and allow for future growth. The building will not only to expand our facilities but, in time, allow us to grow further with more talent and technology in our ever-changing trade," said Samuel C. Brummund, Owner of Spectrum Auto Body.

The new expansion will house the shop's frame rack and provide inside storage for severely damaged customer vehicles as they wait for insurance claim approvals and parts. "This will free up floor space in our main repair shop. With more room, we’ll be able to take on more jobs and continue to push the envelope when it comes to fulfillment and delivery of our auto body repairs," said Samuel C. Brummund.

Spectrum Auto Body's main office and collision center will continue to be open throughout the entire construction process, and all shop operations will remain unaffected.

Spectrum Auto Body acquires Tom's Body Works

May 8, 2020 - Belle Plaine, MN

Spectrum Auto Body Inc., an independent collision repair center, announced that it has acquired Tom’s Body Works LLC.

Tom Meyer has owned Tom’s Body Works since 2008, and the Belle Plaine shop itself has been providing auto body services to the community for over 37 years. They offer complete collision repairs and carry a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field.

“We look forward to building on the success of Tom’s Body Works and welcome the addition of their body technician to our team,” said Samuel C. Brummund, Owner of Spectrum Auto Body. “My family and I live in the area and I’ve been active in the auto body industry since 2006, so when the opportunity to take over Tom’s operation presented itself, I was immediately interested. We are excited to extend our outstanding services to Belle Plaine and the surrounding communities.”
